Ultrasonic sieving for difficult fine powders
Fine powders below 300 microns can clog sieve openings, reduce throughput, and lead to inconsistent results. Ultrasonic assistance improves particle movement across the sieve surface and increases separation efficiency.
Increase sieving performance for critical particle sizes
The NEXOPART UFA AGS ultrasonic frequency variation system adds ultrasonic excitation to the EML 200 Premium test sieve shaker. A converter and clamping ring generate continuously varying ultrasonic frequencies that are transferred directly to the sieve mesh.
The high-frequency vibrations reduce friction between particles and the sieve cloth, helping to break up agglomerates and prevent mesh blinding. This allows powders that are difficult to sieve conventionally to be analyzed accurately and reproducibly.
The system is particularly effective for pharmaceutical powders, pigments, chemicals, minerals, additives, and other fine bulk materials with particle sizes below 300 µm.
