Rotary tapping sieve shaker for difficult particle shapes
Some materials cannot be accurately analyzed using conventional vibratory sieve shakers. Cubic particles, fibrous products, abrasives, and irregularly shaped materials often require a different sieving motion to achieve proper separation.
Simulate manual sieving with rotary and tapping motion
The W.S. TYLER® RO-TAP® test sieve shaker combines horizontal circular movement with vertical tapping action to reproduce traditional hand sieving techniques in a controlled and repeatable manner.
The unique motion continuously reorients particles on the sieve surface, improving separation efficiency for materials that tend to bridge, align, or become trapped in sieve openings. The system is commonly used for abrasives, tobacco, spices, minerals, metal powders, and other difficult-to-screen products.
For laboratories requiring compliance with European safety regulations, the CE-compliant RO-TAP® RX-29 is available with a soundproof cabinet and external control system, reducing operator exposure to noise while maintaining the traditional RO-TAP® sieving principle.
